Dana Ripley Pond (American, 1881-1962) Portrait of Shepard Pond, the Artist's Brother, in Hunting Dress Signed and dated "Dana R. Pond..." l.r. Oil on canvas, 80 x 47 in. (203.2 x 119.4 cm), framed. Condition: Patch reinforcement, craquelure, surface grime. Provenance: Through the family of the artist. The patch is to a tear about 3 inches long within his coat. The craquelure is visible but stable. THe work would benefit from cleaning.
