Harper Pennington (American, 1855-1920) Portrait of a Young Man, Nude Monogrammed, dated and dedicated "... 1903, to Ogden Codman-" l.l. Pastel on paperboard, sight size 17 x 9 1/2 in. (43.2 x 24.1 cm), framed. Condition: Toning, not examined out of frame. Provenance: The property of Samuel E. Codman, Charles G. Loring House, Prides Crossing, Massachusetts. Although the work has not be removed from its frame, there is visible toning. Additionally, there is some minor scattered pigment displacement and the surface of the sheet is not in contact with the glass.
