18kt Gold and Ruby Ring, Cartier, c. 1960s, set with an square step-cut ruby weighing approx 1.35 cts., flexible shank of interlocking links, size 6, French guarantee stamp and maker's mark, no. 6774 and 6?07, signed CARTIER and MADE IN FRANCE, (minor nick). Note: Accompanied by a letter detailing the purchase through S.S. de Young in 1971 and AGL report stating that the stone is of Burma origin, without evidence of heat enhancement. Ruby Ring small nick to edge of table, some very minor areas of abrasion internal: two fractures reach the surface on the back, not gapping open but present to the surface, both with iron oxide staining, large fingerprint, etc.
