Kinkozan Vase, Meiji period (late 19th century), the full-bodied ovoid jar finely painted in gilt and richly-colored enamels with a panel on either side, one with a scene of samurai in a garden, the other with Buddhist figures, reserved on a dark blue ground with gilt cherry blossoms and butterflies, red "Made by Kinkozan" mark on the base, ht. 11 1/4 in.
