Lacquer Five-Case Inro, Japan, 19th century, finely decorated with three wild geese flying amidst golden sun rays, takamaki-e and hiramaki-e ornament on nashiji surface, signature on the base, attached to an ivory and wood ojime in the shape of a small monkey clinging to a trunk, signed, and a carved wood demon-mask netsuke, signed, lg. 4, 1 3/4 in. Loss to the tip of the horn of the demon-mask netsuke, the edge of the cover, and the edge of the second case; otherwise in good condition
