Pair of Cloisonne Enameled Covered Bowls, China, 18th century, raised on three short feet, the round sides decorated with multi-hued flowers borne on leafy meanders, reserved on a turquoise ground, flanked by a pair of gilt animal-mask lugs suspending loose rings, all between a band of ruyi heads around the rim and chrysanthemum petals above the foot, the domed circular cover finely enameled en suite, with a gilt finial, dia. 5 1/8, ht. 4 3/4 in. Loss to the surface and to the interior, dents to both knobs, one knob loose; lids do not sit perfectly on the boxes
