Ink Painting, South Korea, Suh Se-Ok (b. 1929), ink and light color on paper, abstract painting of two pagodas separated by water, framed and glazed, 26 1/2 in. (square). N.B. Graduated in 1950 from the School of Painting at Seoul National University, where he served as professor and Dean, Suh Se-Ok has exhibited widely in Korea, the United States and Europe. He is well-known for the ability to transfer the calligraphic power of brush into the rendering of abstract ink painting.
