Mother-of-pearl Inlaid Two-Part Lacquered Cabinet, Korea, 19th century, the pair of hinged door panels finely inlaid with mother-of-pearl of a landscape scene with cranes flying atop an enormous pine tree and a boy and deer in the foreground, the interior elegantly decorated with prunus branches issuing from a vase, ten drawers in total, six inside and two on top and bottom each, all elaborately ornamented with birds in flight amidst a multitude of flowers, the sides decorated with Immortal and attendant welcoming a guest traveling on horseback under a pine tree, the top of the cabinet with a pair of phoenix amongst peach branches encircling a shou (longevity) roundel, geometric borders and plain back, the stand with floral and foliage borders, all fitted with delicately chased brass mounts, lg. 28 1/4, dp. 16 1/2, ht. 43 in.
