Calligraphy, Dong Zuobin (1895-1963), oracle bone inscription in red ink, poem after Su Shi, dated a winter day in jiawu year (1954), signed, one seal, 16 1/2 x 6 3/4 in. N.B. Dong Zuobin, the pioneer scholar in oracle bone inscription, was the archaeologist who first found oracle bones at the Ruins of Yin (from Shang dynasty) in the Xiaodun village in Anyang, and organized the excavation of the site in the 1920s and the 30s. Dong was also among the first group of archaeologists who found the site of Longshan culture in Shandong province, China. Some creases.
