Jade Group, China, carving of a flattened hu vase decorated on one side with bird and peony flowers, with a pair of butterflies amidst morning glories on the other side, the cover surmounted by a fully-blossomed peony, the stone of semi-translucent emerald green color with some russet and apple green markings; together with a miniature planter, wood stand in the shape of a scepter, ht. 6 1/4 (8 1/2 with cover), 3 1/4 in. Natural fissures in the stone, losses to the tip of the leaves, flower petals and edges of the vase; a perforation to the rim of the narcissus bowl.
