Agate Vase, China, carved as a flattened hu -vase set on a pedestal foot, surrounded by carvings of magnolia branches issuing from a rockwork, with a bird perched on top about to dash down, the domed cover attached with more flowers, the stone of greenish-yellow color with magnolia petals accentuated by the reddish-orange streaks, wood stand, ht. 7 1/2 in. Some chips and losses to the vase and carvings; repairs in various areas
