Blue and White Hu Vase, China, Qianlong six-character seal mark in underglaze blue and of the period (1736-1795), the round body painted in underglaze blue simulating "heaping and piling" effect with two bands of stylized flowers borne on leafy scrolls separated by double bow-string lines, set between bands of plantain leaves and wave patterns, the shoulder flanked by blue glazed lugs in the shape of elephant heads suspending fixed rings, ht. 12 3/8 in. Good condition
