Celadon Vase, China, 19th century, of hu form, the bulbous body decorated with carved design of a winged mythical animal in a medallion on either side, between a band of upright chrysanthemum lappets around the foot and scrolls below the mouth, flanked by a pair of lugs in the shape of the head of a beaked creature, covered with pale celadon glaze, ht. 6 5/8 in. Small crack on the foot ring.
