Famille Rose Meiping , China, Qianlong six-character seal mark in iron-red and of the period (1736-1795), the vase decorated on the exterior with two bats amidst stylized lotus borne on elaborate scrolling foliage, and smaller blossom and peaches emerging from leafy tendrils, all between ruyi -head lappet shoulder in yellow enamel and underglaze blue scroll patterns around the rim, and a band of upright leaf tip and petal designs above the base, the mark on celadon-glazed base, carved rosewood stand and ivory cover, ht. 5 in.
