Yellow Glazed Wine Pot, China, early 20th century, in the shape of a melon with lobed sides, the pot decorated in underglaze blue with a pair of dragons striding amongst clouds, between a key-fret band around the neck and wave band above the foot, the handle modeled into a chilong , and the spout as a dragon head, all under lemon yellow glaze, the blue burnt to black during firing, wood cover carved as a melon, apocryphal Wanli six-character mark on the base, ht. 5 1/2 in.
