Songhua Inkstone, China, the lovat green rectangular stone carved on the upper section with a pair of mandarin ducks swimming in a lotus pond, inscriptions on the reverse side, 9 x 5 3/4 in. N.B. Songhua stone is named after the Songhua River in Jilin province, the Manchu homeland in the northeast part of the Qing empire.
