Leon Roussel (French, 1868-1943), Large Bronze Figure of a Warrior, Defense du Sol , the defiant standing warrior clad only in a hide lion cloth, holding a tall spear, and poised over a hammer on the round, naturalistic base, with mold incised signature, and titled plaque mounted to front edge, ht. 41, set atop of a round rouge marble plinth, ht. with plinth 43 1/2 in. Chips surrounding marbnle base. Seperation to a seam at join of arm to shoulder.
