Louis XV/XVI Style Bronze-mounted and Marble-top Green Japanned Commode, early 20th century, rectangular top with minor breakfront above a conforming case fitted with two drawers decorated with a continuous chinoiserie scene, on angular, cabriole legs, ht. 33 1/2, wd. 27 1/2, dp. 17 1/2 in. Marble in good shape; drawer fronts with heavy rubbing and some losses to paint showing gesso through; heavy usage wear throughout; lacking both sabot mounts; age typical additional minor defects.
