Napoleon III Ormolu-mounted, Ebonized, and Porcelain-mounted Desk, third quarter 19th century, shaped cresting above a door mounted with an oval plaque and flanked by split columnar stiles, interior with two small drawers inlaid with trelliswork and shelves; lower section with a frieze drawer and hinged writing surface, on circular stop-fluted and tapered legs joined by stretchers, ht. 60, wd. 26, dp. 17 1/2 in. Alligatoring to writing surface; some minor bending to mounts; else fine. Minor, age typical defects.
