German Renaissance Revival Bronze and Glass Pokal, late 19th century, the pale green glass cylindrical liner attributed to Moser and enamel decorated with two small crests and flower stems, fitting into bronze frame with foliate scroll uprights with reserves for the enameling of the glass, on bulbous body with openwork scrolls and grotesque masks, on balustroid stem and domed foot, the lid with finial formed as a Mediaeval knight, engraved at rim with motto in German, and dated 1883, ht. 22 3/4 in. good. Motto to lid reading: "Rheinwein, wie Gold - Ein Weibchen hold - Ein wahrer Areund - Drei Perlen seund. 1 Mai 1883"
