Continental Bronze Lamp Base with Cameo Glass Shade, late 19th/early 20th century, the lamp base with figures of a wary lion and lioness on naturalistic base, the stem formed as a tree trunk, electrified, ht. to top of tree 15 1/4, together with a French cameo glass shade, decorated with horse chestnuts and leaves, with sawtooth edge, dia. 11 7/8 in. electrical fittings of lamp likely later. nut holding shade to lamp replaced. bronze with minor scratching/age wear to patina. associated shade with minor small firing bubbles, unobstrusive flaw in glass at hole to top, and minor chips around perimeter of hole. shade and base unmarked.
