G., rectangular, the top with ovoid lid enameled with a scene of a courting couple and attendant, on landscape ground with sheep, the sides with small landscape roundels on cobalt blue ground, and with white enamel banding throughout, the bird with red, black, and iridescent green feathers, wd. 4, dp. 2 5/8, ht. 2 in. maker's mark K.G. bird on a branch. numbered 679 to edge of underside of base. bird with one eye missing, and loss to other. key present.
