French Regence Provincial Walnut Commode, mid 18th century, rectangular top with thumb-molded edge and serpentine front above a conforming case fitted with three drawers, carved apron and short cabriole legs, ht. 35 1/2, wd. 48 1/2, dp. 25 1/2 in. Top with three boards and re-pinning along edges with some dark staining and a thin burn/gouge near front edge; loss to lower left traversing rail; crack through pin joint to left front leg; moderate worming throughout, no exposed tunnels; good color and proportion.
