Pair of French Copper Enamel Candlesticks, late 18th/early 19th century, scalloped sconces, cylindrical nozzles, balustroid stems, on domed feet, with dark blue ground and reserves painted with landscape and cottage scenes, with gilt accenting, ht. 9 3/4 and 10 in. one with repairs at join of nozzle to top of stem, and to join of stem to base. chips, some touched-up, at sconce and top of nozzle. edge of base with area of restoration. Touched-up vertical chip to base. the other with restored chips to sconce, top of nozzle, and join of stem to base. This join strengthened with glue from underside of foot. both likely with a few touch-ups to thin scratches, and with light wear to gilding.
