Louis XVI Style Painted and Brass-mounted Mahogany and Marble-top Ladies Desk, early 20th century, with three quarter gallery and red marble top above three frieze drawers and a roll-top enclosing three drawers, slant lid writing surface and one long drawer, on circular fluted and tapered legs, ht. 40 1/2, wd. 30 3/4, dp. 18 in. Finish crazed to all painted panels with some losses to lower drawers and slant lid; one pull from loper missing; top with crack to marble; minor popping to brass and edge wear; age typical additional minor defects.
