Two Staffordshire Earthenware Flatback Figural Groups, late 19th century, one depicting a maiden in a plaid skirt playing a mandolin beneath a trellis with granulated accenting, the other a watch hutch with a maiden seated beneath a belltower, flanked by pair of girls in plaid skirts, ht. 9 1/2 in. trellis girl: enamel loss at hair and skirt, glaze flake at front edge. possible loss to granulation at two spots of trellis, with yellow overpainting (could have been done at time of manufacture) watch stand: minor enamel loss to hair and skirts. both with some crazing.
