Pair of Jacob Petit Porcelain Botanical Decorated Plates, France, mid 19th century, each painted to center with a large and elaborate floral bouquet, with cobalt rim with three small reserves of floral sprays and gilt accenting, dia. 10, sold with a Continental porcelain plate with scattered floral sprays and shaped, gilt rim, dia. 9 1/2 in. iris bouquet: a few small spots of enamel loss to floral painting. stacking wear to gilding of inner rim. rose bouquet: a few small spots of enamel loss to floral painting, and an area of enamel loss to the pink rose that is approx. 1/2" x 1/8". very light stacking wear to inner rim. both with minor gilt wear. continental plate with very minor wear.
