Russian Icon Depicting Christ's Entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, 19th century, horizontal format, depicted with a group of Old Testament prophets and New Testament apostles, 13 7/8 x 29 7/8 in. could have been used in an iconostasis's Holy Day tier. Four inch crack and loss to left edge and also along lower right edge; scattered pinpoint losses throughout; minor in-painting throughout figures mostly on the right side of scene and including Christ; minor gilt rubbing to halos; little or no worm damage/insect holes to speak of.
