French Regence Oak Fauteuil, early 18th century, upholstered backrest, arms and seat, scrolled hand-holds on faceted supports, with faceted legs and X-form stretcher on flattened ball feet, seat ht. 16, wd. 21 1/2, dp. 18 in. Heavy worming and chewing to both hand-holds; back left leg joint cracked and loose (needs re-glue); front right foot with loss to upper part of foot; all feet channeled out from old casters, heavy wear to front of stretcher and front legs; frame not examined under upholstery; age typical additional minor defects.
