American Renaissance Revival Part-gilded and Ebonized, Marquetry and Gilt-bronze mo unted Library Table , likely New York, c. 1870, with rounded ends and projecting corners and inlaid with a plethora of foliage and birds within a vitruvian scroll surround, above a frieze mounted with two porcelain plaques, the legs mounted with flowerheads and with gilt-incised fluting, on turned feet and with an H-stretcher mounted with an urn finial, ht. 28, wd. 55, dp. 33 1/2 in. Top with side-to-side shrinkage crack with highly polished finish; some minor pin denting and losses to marquetry; all mounts present; no restoration to incised gilding; scuffing and minor losses to ebonized feet; age typical additional minor defects.
