Large Paris Porcelain Figural Vase, France, 19th century, extended bottle shape with gilded and polychrome enamel decoration, the elongated neck modeled with two tropical bird-form handles, the bird's holding a lizard in their beaks, palm leaves, berries and foliage draped about the neck and shoulder, handpainted ground with floral bouquets, ht. 32 1/4 in. Rim with two-piece 6 1/4" rim chip simply reglued (glue has now let go; pieces off, but present); old repair to tip of one beak; hairline to one large leaf; heavy losses to several leaves on either side.
