Sevres Porcelain Gold-rimmed Partial Tea and Coffee Service, mid/late 19th century, all decorated in gold with Napoleonic N cipher topped by a coronet, comprising coffeepot (ht. 9), teapot, creamer, covered sugar, sugar bowl lacking lid, two teacups and saucers, covered bowl, low footed bowl, and two cake plates (dia. 9 1/4), sold with similarly cipher-decorated glassware including a pair of opaline finger bowls, and a pair of colorless glass decanter (ht. 11 1/4 in.). Provenance: Fruitlands Museum, Harvard, Massachusetts. By repute, from the household of Napoleon III as collected by Mr. and Mrs. Knyvet Winthrop Sears, parents of Clara Endicott Sears. Overall very good to excellent condition. Very, very minor wear to gilt, mostly none at all; small unexplained crack to side of teapot and cover lacking to larger sugar bowl.
