Wedgwood Majolica Framed Thomas Allen Earthenware Tile Picture, England, c. 1884, the rectangular plaque handpainted in polychrome enamels with a mother and child, 8 x 15 1/2 in.; bordered with brown glazed tiles of running laurel, and framed with a wide laurel and ribbon design, approximate overall 14 3/4 x 21 1/4 in.; impressed marks. Tile: several shallow edge chips; the backside with numeorus chips at one end. Frames with scattered chipping and heavy glaze wear.
