Chinese, 20th century. A yellow Yixing Zisha pottery teapot of low domed form with downturned spout to one side opposed by a downturned loop handle, the body with incised and blackened decoration to one side depicting a house cat in a landscape flanked at left with a line of calligraphic marks, opposite side of teapot with many calligraphic marks, the round lid with flattened ball finial adorned with yin yang mark to top. Marked to interior of lid with marks within a cartouche and to underside of body with archaic seal mark within a square cartouche. Approximately 2.375" tall, 5.5" spout to handle.
