Jefferson David Chalfant(American, 1856-1931) - Oil on canvas landscape titled "View Along the Brandywine: Woman Carrying Wood", signed lower right "J. D. Chalfant", 24" x 14 3/4". Exhibited Brandywine River Museum and the Newark Museum, June-November 1979. Provenance: Mr. Charles Griffith (until 1961), Dartmouth College Museum and Galleries (until 1986), and Private Collection (until 1995).
