writing surface mounted with ribbon-tied floral garlands and painted on the exterior with a floral still life in the Dutch manner, the interior with a leather-inset writing surface and a series of drawers and niches, the case with chamfered corners headed by torch mounts and a frieze drawer mounted with oppoising putti and foliate scrolls, raised on fluted tapering legs joined by an undertier and ending in toupie feet. Height 57 x width 32 x depth 14 1/2 inches.
