19th century. Each oval on canvas painting laid down on wood board and contained within matching green painted wood oval frames with gilt button detail. One painting depicting a young beauty surrouned by winged cherubs showering her with affection and flowers. The other work of a young courting peasant couple seated in an outdoor setting by a tree, cottage and ladder. Image size approximately 14.75 inches x 10.25 inches. Framed 18 inches x 13.25 inches. Provenance: From the collection of Mr. Thomas V. and Mrs. Marie B. Patton, Atlanta, Georgia.
