Persian, Late 19th/Early 20th century. Hand painted gouache on ivory panel depicting a central male polo player in Orientalist costume including feathered cap on black horse with two background figures also playing polo riding brown horses. Work on a rectangular panel with minimal allusion to environment except for horse hoof prints in foreground. Panel approximately 4.75" x 7.75". Framed in geometric mosaic like inlaid frame approximately 10.5" x 12.75".
