19th century. French faience Veuve Perrin lavabo (lidded wall urn and shell form dish) with hand painted polychrome figural decoration. Wall urn form with two celery form handles below a lion's head on lid. Urn body with floral decoration above a figural senes of a young beauty with a letter being courted by three young gentlemen in an outdoor country setting above a stylized winged creature's face on brown tree form. Marked on bottom with "VP" for Veuve Perrin. Two circular holes at back for mounting on wall. Overall height approximately 16.2 inches. Exterior of shell form in chartreuse color. Marked on bottom with "VP" for Veuve Perrin. Height 3.3 inches, width 12.2 inches, depth 9.5 inches.
