Japanese, 19th century. Porcelain sometsuke (blue and white) decorated oblong diamond form platter or plate with large peony flowers and butterfly at center contained with a border with spiral motif with view of large snow covered mountain, like Mt. Fuji flanked by stylized clouds and trees. Platter with celadon green glaze in sections, underside marked with blue mark within square under glaze. Tray measures approximately 14.7" x 13.125".
