Brazil, polished to a minute thickness to maximize the translucency and brightness of the color, this example beautifully illustrates the multitude of colors and complexity of pattern possible in this quartz variety, the outer rim of banded greyish blue to black, the central region of coarser grained colorless rock crystal, the center displaying a grey to orange brown "eye" around a small cavity. 31.10 x 21.60 x 0.80 cm.
