First edition, second state, binding variant C, with no box around publisher's advertisement on p. 2, "low wail of.." on p. 14, "pieces" spelled correctly on p. 82, and the "C" encircling the "O" in "Co" at the foot of the spine. Light soiling to boards; ends bumped and slightly frayed; hinges beginning to crack; light finger smudges to edges of some leaves.
