Patek Philippe Ref. 2442, So-Called "Banana" Patek Philippe, Genève, No. 971493, case No. 655217, Ref. 2442. Made in 1949 and sold on October 25th, 1949. Very fine and very rare, rounded flared lugs, "bombé," 18K yellow gold wristwatch and an 18K yellow gold Patek Philippe buckle. Two-body, solid, polished and brushed, rounded flared lugs, domed crystal. Matte silver with applied yellow gold dart indexes and Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds dial. Yellow gold feuille hands. Notes Ref. 2442 The "banana" was produced from 1948 to 1955.
