Imhof, Swiss, No. 1439839, Ref. 12 329. Made circa 1960. An extremely fine and rare 8 day-going brass and painted on enamel desk clock. To be sold without reserve Brass, square, flanked and surmounted by geometric shapes. Black enamel with painted scene representing an elegantly dressed Asian lady strolling in the garden by a temple, floral motifs at corners. Applied chapter ring with painted Roman indexes. Brass fancy hands. Rhodium-plated, 15 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, flat balance spring. Dial and case signed, case numbered. Dim. 16.5 x 13 x 4.5 cm.
