American, circa 1950's. Pair of carved and painted Bluebill duck decoys by Walter Snow. Both ducks with yellow glass eyes. The drake shows a tint of green to head with blue-gray feathers and measures in height 7.25", width 15", depth 7.5"The hen retains more of a brown coloration and measures in height 6.25", width 15.5", depth 7.5". Walter Snow, Michigan, was a decoy carver who was taught by Ben Schmidt, a famous carver and collector in the decoy industry.
