Fine, large, heavy, keyless, 18K yellow gold chronometer pocket watch made for the South American market. Four-body, "bassine et filets", solid, heavily engraved covers with floral ornamentation, front centered with blank cartouche, engine-turned band, hinged cuvette. Silvered with painted radial Roman numerals, sunk subsidiary seconds dial, applied central and peripheral gold floral decoration. Blued steel “Louis XV” hands. Cal. 16’’’, nickel, three-quarter plate, fausses cotes decoration, 19 jewels, chain and fuse, spring detent escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with screws, blued steel flat balance spring, gold screwed chatons.
