BREGUET BELLE EPOQUE PENDULETTE ORIGINAL BOX & KEY Breguet, No. 2047. Made circa 1890. Fine and rare, gilt-brass, hour and half-hour striking, 8-day going carriage clock with repeat and alarm. Accompanied by the original fitted box and key. Multi-piece, gilt-brass, cast with floral swags, the sides with oval pierced sound frets, ribbon surmounts, concave top cast with a love trophy, the back door decorated to match, hinged handle, paw feet. Circular white enamel with Arabic numerals, outer dot minute divisions, floral swag decoration. Gilt Louis hands. Rectangular, gilt brass, four pillars, barrels for the going and striking trains, lateral lever escapement mounted on a frosted gilt platform, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator, striking and repeating on a coiled gongs, separate alarm train with further hammer and white enamel setting dial.
