Very fine and rare, quarter-repeating, 18K yellow gold, keyless hunting cased pocket watch with chronograph and register. Three-body, bassine et filets, polished, button in the band for the start/stop/return- to-zero functions of the chronograph. Glazed gold-rimmed cover to view the movement. White enamel with Arabic numerals, outer five-second numerals, minute track and fifths of a second divisions, subsidiary seconds and 30-minute register. Yellow gold spade hands. Matte gilt, 35 jewels, wolf's tooth winding, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, swan-neck micrometer regulator, visible chronograph work, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band. Notes Dial and movement signed. DIAM. 53mm. Although of relatively recent non-Vacheron manufacture, the case of the present watch is extremely well made of heavy 18 carat gold and of fitting quality to house this very rare type of high- grade movement with quarter-repeating and chronograph.
