Very fine, tonneau-shaped, center seconds, self-winding, 18K white gold wristwatch with day & date and a stainless steel Rolex buckle. Three-body, solid, polished and brushed, curved lugs, fluted bezel, screwdown case back and crown, crystal with cyclops lens Grey with applied white gold baton indexes and luminous dots, outer 1/5th second track with 5-minute / second Arabic markers, apertures for the day and the date. Luminous white gold baton hands. Cal. 3055, rhodium plated, 27 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to five positions and to temperatures, shock absorber, self-compensating flat balance spring, Microstella regulating screws, hack mechanism. Notes Dial, case and movement signed. DIAM. 36 mm. THICKNESS 13 mm. Launched in 1977, the DAY-DATE REFERENCE 18039 was launched as the successor of the 1803, featuring a very useful single quick-set. The current example in white gold has been conserved in excellent condition with thick lugs and beautiful hallmarks. To further enhance its desirability it features the rarely seen charcoal grey dial with beautiful cream luminous dots perfectly matching the hands.
