ROLEX REF 6262 BIG EYES Rolex, Daytona, case No. 2416764, Ref. 6262/6239. Made in 1970. Very fine and rare, water-resistant, stainless steel wristwatch with round button chronograph, registers and tachometer Three-body, polished and brushed, tachometer graduation on the bezel to 200 units per hour, screwed-down case back and crown. Bicolor black and silver with applied steel baton indexes, subsidiary dials for the seconds, the 12-hour and 30-minute registers, outer minutes/seconds divisions. Luminous steel baton hands. Cal. 727, rhodium plated, 17 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to three positions, shock absorber, self-compensating free-sprung Breguet balance spring, Microstella regulating screws. Notes Dial, case and movement signed. DIAM. 36 mm. THICKNESS 14 mm. Another very rare variant of the REFERENCE 6262, the dial has an unusual configuration as only having the word ROLEX on the upper part of the dial and the writing DAYTONA at 6 in black font. Furthermore it features larger counters than on the vast majority of Daytonas almost touching the applied steel indexes earning it the name of BIG EYES.
